Tamarron has begun a multi-year project to update our fire protection system. To the left you'll see a presentation given by Board member Mark Pelizza at the September Board meeting. The first step in this process will be to replace the smoke detectors in all units on property. This will take place in October/November of this year.

UPDATES
Tuesday, October 29th
Replacement of the smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors will begin in Gamble Oak on Tuesday, November 5th (one week from today). This will entail removing the old smoke and CO detectors, taking the smoke detectors out of the system, and then installing the new detectors. Two members of our staff will accompany the techs to enable entry, move furniture out of the way, and them replace it after the new detectors are installed. As with the lock project, the crew will move from Gamble Oak to Pinecone to Highpoint, finishing in the Lodge. We expect this project to take about a month, putting completion sometime in the first week in December.
And with the completion of the lock and smoke detector projects, we can all step back, take a deep breath, and enjoy the holiday season without interruptions.
Friday, November 8th
Installation of the smoke/CO detectors was supposed to start this past Tuesday, but got delayed due to some unforeseen circumstances. Installation will now begin next Tuesday, 11/12, starting in Gamble Oak at unit 701. On average, each of the four complexes should take about a week to complete, so you can do a rough calculation as to when your unit will be done. We will do our best to update everyone with the schedule.
Monday, November 18th
Smoke alarms have been installed in units 701 through 771. The crew is working on 772 through 793 today. We expect that Gamble Oak will be completed tomorrow, and the crew will then move to Pinecone.
Wednesday, December 4th
Installation of the new smoke alarms is completed in all three outlying areas, as well as the first and second floors of the Lodge. The crew is working on the third floor today and expects to finish the Lodge by the end of this week.
Monday, December 9th
Installation of the new smoke alarms is complete in all units in all four complexes.
